Chamber Members have said YES to 2021. Don’t be left out.
Long time Chamber member Brenda Barnwell of Properties Unlimited started 2021 off right with retirement. Brenda has been a Realtor in Pittsburg for 42 years. Brenda is a self-made businesswoman who established and grew her own realty business over those 42 years. Brenda is also a certified appraiser with the National Association of Master Appraisers.
Brenda spent many active years with The Texas Association of Realtors (TAR) in Austin, attending conventions and serving on various state committees. She served on the TAR prestigious nominating committee for two terms and served as a TAR Director for several years. In 2000, she was elected TAR Region 5 Vice-President over sixteen boards in the Northeast Texas area. Locally, Brenda served two terms as President of the Titus, Camp, Morris, Upshur Board of Realtors, and received Realtor of the Year two times.
Brenda said, “Thousands of transactions, serving old friends and making many new friends over the forty-two years of being licensed has brought more joy than words can express. I will forever miss the business, but it is time to retire. I am so grateful to all who put their confidence in me and have been a part of making my life a great business adventure.”
Good luck on your next adventure Ms. Barnwell and thank you for serving Pittsburg and its residents well.

Sadly, among so many loved ones that we lost to COVID-19 in 2020, Pittsburg lost these two wonderful women, Mrs. Linda Ruth O’Quinn (on the left) and Mrs. Madeline Warrick (on the right). Mrs. O’Quinn was known for her vibrant personality and many talents, including decorating and planning the perfect event. She served as President of the 20th Century Club and was named Pittsburg/Camp County Woman of the Year last year. Mrs. Warrick was the co-founder and co-owner of our very own world-famous Pittsburg Hotlinks & Packing Plant. Each contributed so much to our community in their own unique and beautiful ways. Ladies, you will be missed.
Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end;
It merely means we will miss you until we meet again.
