Pittsburg: Motorcyclists Killed Friday Afternoon – EastCountyToday
At 4:15 pm on Friday, Pittsburgh police were sent to a report of a vehicle hit a motorcycle on the 800 block on E Leland Road in the city of Pittsburgh.
According to the police, when the officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist lying on the street who stopped responding. Officers immediately began life-saving measures, including CPR, until medical staff arrived.
The motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The identity of the motorcyclist is withheld until contact with the next of kin.
During the investigation, the officers located the driver of the car who had stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Impairment does not appear to be a factor at the moment.
The motorcyclist was determined to be traveling east on East Leland Road and was approaching the intersection with Piedmont Way when the collision occurred. The Transportation Department and Fatal Accident Response Team responded to conduct the investigation.
